PERSON OF INTEREST

What's your name?

Julia Angelina Rich, a.k.a Jupiter

What's your brand?

Zeke's Lunchbox

Tell us a bit about it?

New up and coming fashion label for all the coolest cats in town.

What inspires you the most?

B-grade films and anything incredibly shuddersome. Watch 'surf nazis must die' and you WILL understand. Sailor Moon seems to always be a big influence as well.

Who do you think has influenced you to become the person you are today?

I don't think I could say just one person, i've learnt to take the very best elements of the people I love. Therefore, I would have to say my family have a big influence on the creative person I am today. I've been surrounded by so much creativity it has all been rubbed off onto me through-out the years.

How do you get over artist block?

Time, time & more time... But it seems that time takes a bit too long so surrounding yourself in a creative environment helps the creative juices flowing. What really gets me going are creative people who seem to get a lot of recognition for awful or simple art/design. Every now and then you walk past really mundane art at an exihibtion or read an article about some new dainty hoe-bag and her cutesy little bow-ties and that just sets me off! The more pissed off I get the more creative I appear to become.

Favorite quote?

'Tobacco is my favorite vegetable. - Frank Zappa

Favorite outfit?

I could NEVER have a favourite outfit but the other day I wore a buzz light year top I made with an embroidered collar, royale blue velvet skirt, egyptian scarabe necklace and a eye rings to top it off. Felt hot, I was sex on wheels.

Tools of trade?

My wife the husqvarna sewing machine I purchased not long ago. Baby, you should see the button holes it makes.

Down The Rabbit Hole

 My Friends Roof

A little bit bout what you are reading...

My friends roof multimedia zine on moving out, growing up and finding your way through the adult world. Nothing i have ever done has been harder, more interesting and more testing then realizing that you’re on your way to the rest of your life, and although you tell your self that the years between 16-26 don’t matter, at the end of the day there is always that fear that you didn’t do well enough or start young enough, to succeed in life. At the beginning of college i realized that i had spent from preschool to year six planning for high school, then all of high school planning for college and then everyone expects you to just either be a grown up or keep going to school. I woke up one morning and didn’t want to leave my bed, i wasn’t ready to plan forever. I want to live before i think about giving up my freedom to massive amounts of debts and responsibility. So this is me living, trying new friends and getting the little things i do in my bedroom out to the real world.

The best view of the world is from my friends roof.

Lots of love
